Project Outline

Part of the South East London regeneration program, Royal Arsenal Riverside is a dynamic new development by Berkeley Homes mixing new build with conversions of existing Grade I & II listed buildings. Comprising 5000 new homes as well as commercial and leisure facilities, this project has provided exciting challenges for all involved!

 

Project Challenges

Our client, EMS (UK) Ltd, has had responsibility for temporary services for the project, including site fire alarm systems. Effective fire warning systems have been of utmost importance, especially due to the large numbers of people living and working in close proximity to the construction sites, as the project is ongoing over several years.

 

Howler Solutions

GoLink have provided easily linked wireless systems to ensure full coverage of all areas of the site. Using the GoLink Interface to link to turnstiles and auto-diallers has meant that site evacuation has been easier to control and that key personnel have been kept ‘in the loop’ in the event of any incidents. Using a wireless system has meant that moving units as the project progresses has been simple and quick, keeping maintenance time to a minimum.
