Ballymore

London City Island

On a 4.68 ha ‘island’ between Canary Wharf and the cultural East London, on the edge of the Thames, Ballymore have delivered what was once an ambitious vision… A well-connected Island neighbourhood consisting of 1,706 new homes, 5,978 sq m of commercial space, and 13,856 sq m of retail, leisure and community space.

Built using pre-constructed concrete panels, the project progressed incredibly fast.

Wireless technology, an easy to use control panel and an engaged team, meant that the temporary fire alarm expanded and shifted in line with build progress to protect the whole site.

Howler worked with Madigan Gill to ensure the fire points were complete, the extinguishers were present and the whole fire safety strategy was aligned for the project team.
